With the arrival of our yearly, blue postcard we made our appointment to pick blueberries and invited Jess, our little farm-girl-wanna-be, to join us. The local blueberry farm is simply gorgeous. I love the large allotment of land they've devoted to berries and apples. They have my dream farm! (Have I mentioned before that I'm a homegrown fruit girl? Let me do so now...)
Jessica had never been berry picking before, but she learned really fast. She also found it to be a lot of fun!
But who can help but love blueberry picking?
We're rather glad we went early in the day. As lovely as blueberry picking is, July is hot!
So now we have 6 bags full of lovely berries and 4 bags of delicious lodi apples sitting on our kitchen floor...
