First Hair cut

One of December's last pictures with all of her baby hair!

Here's the length of December's hair right before I gave it a trim last night!

I decided to cut December's hair in the bathtub, because that's how my friend Naomi cuts little Noah's hair and it seems to work out well for them! It did work out great. December just played with toys while I trimmed away.

Our little Statue of Liberty. She's all finished her haircut and is holding up the comb I was using. She looks pretty excited about it!

While I was holding the scissors, working on the back of her head, December would turn around and say, "Mommy? You cutting my hair??" I hadn't even told her what I was doing, so she put that all together by herself. I love how December is learning more and more words and putting together longer sentences.

This is about how much I cut off her hair. It'll be her little lock of hair that goes in the baby book. Putting hair in a baby book still kind of weirds me out, but when she grows up I want to show her that she had blonde hair when she was little! (Since I'm almost completely certain her hair is going to darken at some point.)

Here's the "after" shot! Her hair is now about shoulder-length...and nearly all of it is the same length, which is something she's never had before! Just her bangs are a different length now, which we're growing out.

Poodle Breeders

There are many beloved dog breeds in existence today. One of the most talked about is the Poodle. Whether standard, miniature or toy in size, the Poodle is regularly a champion in competition and is viewed as a superb example of a purebred dog. Poodle breeders fawn over their Poodles. Other dog breeders may mock Poodles for the elaborate show clips they present in competition. Because of their long-legged, delicate appearance and regal carriage Poodles are natural showstoppers.

The history of the Poodle is much less intricate than one would think. Poodles have their origins in the 15th century. They are thought to have come from Russia and Germany. Germans called the Poodle Pudelhund, or splashing dog. The closely curled, dense coat of the Poodle served the purpose of insulating the dog from cold water. Poodles were used as retrievers and duck hunters. Their clich' trim actually served a functional purpose of keeping them warm around their joints while mobile in other areas when immersed in water.

Knowing Poodles are named after a simple puddle makes the breed seem less intimidating already. Poodles most likely originated in Eastern Europe and they have been popular throughout Europe for hundreds of years. However, it is the French who are given credit for the breed. French Poodle breeders successfully cultivated all three sizes of Poodle: miniature, toy and standard.

Poodles have other defining traits such as delicate limbs and muzzles, graceful oval feet, dark eyes, an alert, intelligent and active temperament, and a regal carriage. Poodles can also have health problems specific to the breed such as a condition called Addison's disease, gastric problems, kidney and thyroid problems, and cancer. Breeders will not continue to breed any Poodle found to have a hereditary medical condition.

Poodle breeders breed for overall traits such as high energy level, intelligence, proud or regal carriage, straight, delicate muzzle, small, oval feet, and curly, dense fur among other characteristics. There are many champion lines of Poodle due to the many winners of American Kennel Club and other canine association competitions. Purebred Poodles should come with a documented pedigree or ancestry showing evidence of past champions in the genetic line.

Buyers can find reputable Poodle breeders by asking for referrals from local animal shelters. The American Kennel Club or local dog clubs and organizations are other good places to begin. Buyers must research Poodles and have a good understanding of Poodle information so that nefarious breeders won't take advantage of them.

Good Poodle breeders will run their own kennels and encourage potential buyers to visit and meet not only the puppies but the parents as well. The kennels should be clean and allow good socialization. Reputable breeders will also give new owners lots of information out Poodles, especially car and feeding instructions.

Buyers can avoid bad breeders by asking to see the kennel where puppies are raised, requesting pedigree information, registration papers and medical records, and by interviewing breeders to make sure they do not mass market puppies or sell them to pet stores. Good Poodle breeders will interview buyers to make sure they can give Poodles a good home.

Cougar Dating continued

These women are strong yet sensitive, caring yet stern and successful yet humble. These attributes in the old days usually depicted the attributes of a man. They have learned from prior relationships how to find their ways in difficult situations which makes them much more independent than their counter-parts 20 to 30 years ago. This is how cougars developed themselves to be more dominant and aggressive in certain aspects of their lives.

In conclusion, cougar dating is much more widespread and more accepting in today's society because we see it as a part of life. When you have famous people like Hollywood celebs doing it, than the people that admired them through their acting will start eventually doing also. People of the old fashion attitude, will just have to deal with it as the situations arises.

cougar dating --Part 1

Cougar dating is the when a mature, sophisticated women prefers to date and be in the company of a younger man. Normally cougars are women in their 40's,50's and 60's, but the trend is becoming so hot that 30 something cougars are on the rise.

We constantly see women in their 40's,50's and sixties looking totally hot and desirable than they were when they were in their twenties. Why, basically their more aware of their beauty, their bodies and what they want in life that gives them an irressistable level of confidence.

There was a time when young women were encouraged to date and marry older men as these men were thought to be more mature, secure and more stable. That all may still be true, but having fun was never an option for these women. After years succumbing to societies taboo's, it was Hollywood celebrities which started to really bring cougar dating into the national eye.

Women during this time years ago, was looked upon to take care the children, cleaning the house and satisfying their husbands. As a result, this may have lead to women feeling less of a person because there might have been a feeling of unfulfilment or a feeling of being less than a person.

Nowadays, those old traditions are being broken everyday. Women are breaking trends and setting new one's. Cougar dating is one of the trends that is being hailed by women as revolutionary because it was always thought that women could not date younger men!

gold

Do you know that only three parts out of every billion (0.000000003) in the Earth's crust is gold?Interesting?Yes it is. That's how the high price of gold is justified, due to its rare amount.
My mom buys gold jewelry whenever I send her extra money. Her and most of my cousins are really fascinated with gold jewelries that's why I was influenced too. But it's cool, I think buying gold jewelries is worth it, because it's value wouldn't decrease rather increase. In fact I'm going to buy a gold bangle for my mom, my sister and my daughter.I found this great site that sells elegant jewelry collection online. I personally recommend this site because of their huge collection of gold jewelries at lower prices. You can check it out yourself so visit jewelelegance.com.

Berry farm

With the arrival of our yearly, blue postcard we made our appointment to pick blueberries and invited Jess, our little farm-girl-wanna-be, to join us. The local blueberry farm is simply gorgeous. I love the large allotment of land they've devoted to berries and apples. They have my dream farm! (Have I mentioned before that I'm a homegrown fruit girl? Let me do so now...)

Jessica had never been berry picking before, but she learned really fast. She also found it to be a lot of fun!

But who can help but love blueberry picking?

We're rather glad we went early in the day. As lovely as blueberry picking is, July is hot!

So now we have 6 bags full of lovely berries and 4 bags of delicious lodi apples sitting on our kitchen floor...

Thinhs i know about Brain

In order to give you all the facts I have to talk about the two hemispheres of the brain. We have two parts in our brain system that are opposite each other, but necessary for survival. One is the left-brain hemisphere and the other is the right-brain hemisphere. They are attached but have separate functions.
The left-brain is necessary to live in this world of material existence and therefore it is linear motivated by the instinct of survival. Most people are driven by the left-brain. It focuses on details rather than the whole picture. In other words, it doesn't see the forest for the trees. And, it only goes 'out' for answers to questions and lives externally. The left-brain is ego-motivated.

Panicopton

Well, recently I have had a lot of homework to do because its getting to be the end of the term and that means everything is due and such. Its been really difficult to stay focused because its been so nice out. I have been trying to work outside mostly, but its tough sometimes because you can't really look at a computer in the sun. Well, you can, but its difficult. Even in the shade its difficult. I have been going to Robson Park, its right across the street from out house and its actually really great. When sarah and I first moved to this area we got tons of comments about how unsafe the area was, and i feel so safe here. The park is always filled with families and people playing different sports and games. I think they even have little events here quite often, i always seem to pass them anyways... I guess i'm saying, its a great neighborhood and i really like it.

My Garden continues to grow; only one of the 2 cucumbers that were starting survived, but its huge now and I think i will eat it soon. Tomatoes are also doing alright. The plant looks a bit manegie now, but its still producing tomatoes and the still taste great, so I can not complain.

Last night I went for a long walk around main street and then read in the park. When I got home I did homework and then made cupcake. I wanted something sweet, but didn't want to spend money and didn't want to go to the store. They turned out pretty good and they are vegan. I didn't purposely go out to make them vegan or anything, I just didn't have a lot of ingredients on hand, so i went for them. Here is a photo;

Dark knight

I'm having trouble coming up with the theme editorial cartoonists will use when they haphazardly force a Batman analogy in their coming cartoons. The Hulk was easy: "Gas prices make consumer mad!" Maybe an old couple sitting on a couch five feet from a 92 inch plasma TV. Batman's on the screen (bootlegged copy) and one says "Can he save our mortgage?" Bonus after thought from the cat sitting in the corner: "Such a joker."

I'd say that's cringe-inducing enough to appear in a newspaper.

Some cartoonists are seemingly bound by law to adapt every motion picture to some current political item. Some get special treatment. (why do one Brokeback Mountain cartoon when you can do five?) Let's hope the Mamma Mia! cartoons make it out of the sketchbook next week.
